A two storey barn conversion Home Barn was originally a cow shed and hay loft beside the farmhouse. You can expect total privacy and quiet, there are only the two of us living in the farmhouse. So no noisy children or machinery, we promise!
The front stable door opens into the slate flagstone floored hall with doors to the utility area and hanging space. The ground floor bedroom has a comfy king size bed with TV and dual aspect sunny windows. The large en suite modern bathroom has underfloor heating. There’s also lovely deluge shower and a freestanding double ended bath. Luxury! and the lighting is dimmable for the ultimate in relaxation.
The wooden open-tread stairs lead up to the light and airy living, dining and kitchen area with high vaulted ceiling, huge beams, solid oak floors and lots of interesting features. However, the addition of the new oak and glass sunroom has really made the most of the views across the fields and into your own private garden. Whilst also being designed to give the maximum amount of privacy.
The patio doors lead out onto the sheltered sunny balcony with comfy furniture and views of fields and garden. The secluded garden is also a haven for wildlife. So watch out for foxes, badgers, squirrels and maybe a stoat !
We have retained as much of the stone work and original features of the Barn as possible. But furnished it very comfortably in a contemporary in style.
